I think most people that pick up a Chromebook think it will be like a traditional desktop or laptop because it looks like one from the outside however once you actually turn it on, that is where the comparison ends for a lot of people. I recently heard of a way to make your Chromebook feel a little more comfortable by using “App Pinning”.
App Pinning is the ability to pin apps to your Chromebook’s desktop interface just like how you might add a shortcut on your PC if you were using Windows. It’s actually pretty easy to do this just following these steps in your Chrome web browser on your Chromebook
- Open the webpage in Chrome.
- Click More More tools.
- Click Add to shelf Add.
Once you’ve done this you will be able to access these newly added apps on the shelf on your Chromebook. In case you are having trouble locating the shelf I’ve taken a screenshot for reference.
